WESTWELL HALL
Westwell Hall is a beautiful four-story, Victorian, character house located in the seaside town of Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast. This stunning 14-bedroom house can comfortably accommodate up to 29 guests, making it the ideal retreat for multiple families, as well as groups of friends.
The house is set over four floors with bedrooms located on the lower ground floor, first floor and second floor. Bedrooms found on the first and second floor all benefit from en-suite bathrooms, whilst those on the lower ground floor share two family bathrooms.
The main living rooms, along with the large dining area are situated on the ground floor, whilst a second kitchen and games room are on the lower ground floor.
As well as benefiting from lots of internal space, Westwell Hall also enjoys wonderful grounds featuring grassy lawns, terraced gardens, paved patios and a terrace with hot tub.
A stunning, character entrance welcomes guests to Westwell Hall. Once inside the grand house the large wood floor corridor has doors leading to several rooms including the living room and kitchen, as well as staircases leading to the first floor and lower ground floor rooms.
The first room to discover on entering Westwell Hall is the smaller living room, which is set up as a relaxing snug complete with large character windows. Within the double aspect room there are comfy armchairs perfect for sitting back and catching up with friends.
The main living room is centrally located on the ground floor making it a great place for friends and family to gather and watch TV or listen to music. There is a selection of large sofas in the living room, as well as a few armchairs. The large character windows with views of the sea add period charm to the room.
Located at the far end of the ground floor corridor is the main family kitchen. This double aspect room with wonderful views over Ilfracombe and across to the sea is equipped with a good range of appliances, including an induction hob, an electric oven, a fridge, a freezer, and a dishwasher.
As well as a pantry cupboard there is also plenty of other storage facilities in the kitchen, plus a table and chairs to seat up six guests, an island with chairs ideal for enjoying a quiet breakfast or cup of coffee and a sofa.
A door from the family kitchen leads to the dining room, which is located in the beautiful conservatory.
Westwall Hall has a large dining room located in the stunning conservatory. The dining room features two long tables, which can comfortably seat 30 guests in total. The conservatory is within easy reach of the family kitchen, as well as the bar and can easily be decorated for all occasions, including hen parties, stag do’s, baby showers or birthday celebrations.

Looking to enjoy a few drinks on a special occasion? Westwell Hall has its own private bar situated near the dining room and featuring a wide range of glasses to suit all occasions, a separate fridge and a dishwasher.
There are two ground floor cloakrooms at Westwell Hall both of which are fitted with a WC and wash basin.
Two sets of stairs lead to the first floor where five bedrooms are located. These include the main staircase located on the ground floor near the Snug and the back staircase, which is near the kitchen. Please note that only the back staircase leads to the second floor bedrooms.
The first of five bedrooms located on the first floor of Westwall Hall is the ‘Yellow Bedroom’ otherwise known as Bedroom 5. The bedroom with a decorative fireplace has views of the woods and garden and features a double bed. There is also a built-in wardrobe, bedside tables and a large freestanding mirror.
The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, a WC, a wash basin and a heated towel rail.
The dual-aspect Bedroom 4 enjoys lovely sea views from its large windows. The bedroom features a double bed, bedside tables, a set of drawers, a built-in wardrobe and a handy small sofa.
The en-suite bathroom for Bedroom 4 is fitted with a bathtub with shower overhead, a WC, a heated towel rail and a wash basin.
Bedroom 3 benefits from beautiful sea views, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the sofa located in the large bay window. The bedroom features a double bed, bedside tables and a wardrobe, it also benefits from an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, a WC, a wash basin and a heated towel rail.
The largest bedroom on the first floor is the ‘Red Bedroom’, better known as Bedroom 2. This stunning double aspect bedroom, which enjoys sea views has a grand four poster double bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe and a chaise lounge.
The en-suite bathroom attached to Bedroom 2 has a bath with shower overhead, a WC, a wash basin and a heated towel rail.
The final bedroom on the first floor of Westwell Hall is a good sized single with an en-suite shower room.
The back staircase leads to the second floor bedrooms.
The first bedroom to be discovered on the second floor of Westwell Hall is a good sized double. The bright room with views of the garden has a built-in wardrobe, a window seat and a TV. The bedroom also benefits from its own en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, a wash basin, a heated towel rail and a WC.
Bedroom 10 on the second floor enjoys some wonderful character features such as a decorative fireplace, a pretty window seat and sloped ceilings. The bedroom, which has sea views features a double bed, a vanity unit with mirror, a wall mounted TV and a built-in wardrobe.
The en-suite bathroom for Bedroom 10 includes a shower, a wash basin, a heated towel rail and a WC.
The next bedroom on the second floor is again a large double with a big bay window complete with window seat. The room also has a built-in wardrobe, a TV and benefits from its own en-suite shower room, fitted with a shower, a wash basin, a heated towel rail and a WC.
With its distinctive feature wall, Bedroom 8 really does stand out from the crowd. The bedroom features a double bed, bedside tables, a built-in wardrobe and a decorative fireplace, as well as TV and window seat.

The final bedroom on the second floor is the family and friends bedroom. This large bedroom with built-in wardrobe has a double bed, as well as two full size single beds, meaning it can comfortably accommodate up to four guests. The room also benefits from its own TV and two en-suite bathrooms, both of which are fitted with a shower, a wash basin, a heated towel rail and a WC. .

Situated on the lower ground floor, next door to the games room is a handy, good sized second kitchen. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher.
Alongside the lower ground floor kitchen is a handy games room that is sure to keep the young and young at heart entertained. Within the games room there is a pool / ping pong / air hockey table, as well as a large TV perfect for watching films or gaming.
The first of four bedrooms on the lower ground floor has two full size single beds and is set up as a twin bedroom. Also in this room is a chest of drawers and a handy clothes rail for hanging clothes.
Bedroom 14 is the first of two bedrooms on the lower ground floor featuring zip and link beds, which on request can be made up either a double or twin depending on guest requirements. This large room is lovely and bright with big windows and a patio door, it also features a free standing wardrobe and two comfy armchairs.
Next door to Bedroom 14, is another large room again featuring zip and link beds, which depending on guest requirements can be set up as either a king-size double or two singles. The room also features an armchair and handy rail for hanging clothes.
The final bedroom on the lower ground floor of Westwell Hall is lovely and cosy. The bedroom has a standard double bed and a rail for hanging clothes.
All the bedrooms on the lower ground floor share the two family bathrooms. The first has a bath with a shower overhead, a wash basin and a WC.
The second family bathroom is fitted with a shower, a wash basin and a WC.
Westwell Hall is surrounded by its own private gardens. From pretty paved patios to the side and front of the house to a large, flat lawn ideal for playing games or sunbathing, it really does have something to offer all its guests.
The hot tub is located to the front of the house and there are several tables and chairs scattered around the gardens ideal for alfresco dinners. A BBQ is also available.
Please note the garden at Westwell Hall is not fully enclosed, so children and dogs should be supervised at all times.
